The Amber and other fossil insects Collection
Although animal fossils in general are kept in the Geological Museum, ZMUC has importans holdings of Danish fossil insects, spiders etc.
The core of this collection is formed by about 8000 pieces of Baltic amber inclusions (Eocene), many of which are still unstudied.
A smaller number of insect fossils from other deposits is also present.
