CHRISTMAS AT THE ZOOLOGICAL MUSEUM

1^st to 30^th December

Listen to Christmas stories, find the escaped pixies and you might win great prizes or enjoy yourselves by making a cone animal in our Christmas workshop.

THE LEGEND OF THE COURAGEOUS REINDEER

Hear the story of the little reindeer, whose greatest wish is to help pull Santa's sleigh. Santa Claus lives in the far north and the road up there is dangerous, but on his way the reindeer fortunately meets other Greenland animals who can help him find his way.

The legend is read aloud by actresses Pernille Lyneborg or Lene Poulsen at 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 on the following dates:

• Saturday 3^rd December and Sunday 4^th December

• Saturday 10^th December and Sunday 11^th December

• Saturday 17^th December and Sunday 18^th December
  

CREATE YOUR OWN CONE ANIMALS

We have found bags of pine cones, feathers and other natural materials and invite all children and adults to sit comfortably and enjoy themselves together in the Christmas workshop on 5^th floor. The workshop is open on Saturdays and Sundays in December until Christmas Eve.

THE PIXIES HAVE BOLTED - HELP US FIND THEM

After hours the pixies have escaped from the scientific collections and have been hiding with the animals that they normally live with in nature. Help the museum attendants find them and participate in the pixie competition where you can win great prizes each week.

PIXIE EXHIBITION

In keeping with tradition you can also visit the forest pixies in their cozy house and explore the exhibition on the life of the pixies in the Danish countryside.

THE CAFÉ IS CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS

The cafe sells "æbleskiver" (a kind of Danish doughnut), mulled wine and warm cocoa.

CHRISTMAS PRESENTS, ALMOND PRESENTS, ADVENT PRESENTS

The shop is filled with interesting gift ideas for both children and adults: Books, dinosaurs, scientific toys, cute teddy bears, semi-precious stones and much more.
