Winter Holiday at the Museum

We are filling the museum with fun activities for the winter holiday, where you can experience all sorts of monkeys, fascinating nature and animal photographs, and the tropics in the Palm House.

At the Natural History Museum of Denmark, the whole family can challenge each other and compete for prizes in the Monkey Contest in the exhibition 'Monkeys – A Primate Story'. In the Monkey Workshop, you can handle monkey skulls and make monkey masks to take home. We also offer guided tours for children and adults about the life and behaviour of monkeys in the jungle. The winter holiday is the last chance to experience the special exhibition, which closes on 25 February.

On the museum's first floor, you will find minerals and the newly opened photo exhibition 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year' featuring the world's top 100 nature and animal photos awarded in 2023. In the Fossil Gallery, you can touch Danish fossils, see rare finds, and colour prehistoric animals in the drawing workshop.
