Preventive

Museum collections are vulnerable to damage, from agents as varied as unsuitable humidity and temperature, light, or pests. The goal of preventive conservation is to limit such damage, for example by monitoring the environment inside storage areas and display cases.

Preventive conservation is just as important as interventive treatment and is an integral part of our job. Here you will find information about how we maintain proper preventive measures within the current museum, as well as develop specific protocols for the new building.
